From Paris, Tokyo, New York to Bangkok – a 27 years old Italian stylist Lucrezia Mancini has made a name for herself as a fashion stylist and she tells us everything from how she got into the industry to her wardrobe MVP...
I am... Italian, 27 years old. Moved to London at the age of 18 to study fashion. I've been working at Dazed & Confused, Italian & French Vogue as a Fashion Assistant till I decided to take my own path. Being a freelancer for the past years I had the opportunity to work and live in different parts of the world like Tokyo, Paris, New York and Bangkok which has been incredibly inspiring.
The main reason I got into styling is... my auntie. She was a stylist in the 80s and the right hand of Alberta Ferretti and went to be the consultant for Moschino. I grew up with her inspiring stories and one day when my passion for fashion kicked in I moved to London to pursue my dreams.
My personal style is... quite simple and minimal really, with either a rock twist or a sport vibe depending on my mood. Love a good white T-shirt and a denim, especially vintage Levi's and a good pair of boots!
My wardrobe MVP definitely has to be... my Prada leather jacket. Bought it exactly 11 years ago and I still wear it. It's one of those gets-better-with-age type of piece.
The best part about my job is... being on set for a photoshoot or a music video. I love the vibe everybody has on shooting days.
When buying clothes as a stylist... I always remember to buy what I feel most comfortable in. It's very easy to be carried away with fashion trends but I suggest you to only buy things you really, really love without compromising your own style just because something is "in" at the moment.
Luxury for me is... comfort but still looking very chic.
My favorite look from Irada is... the pair of high waisted black flared ankle trousers and black shoulder top.
